N.Design Studio

First, I would like to thank Carsonified and Lisa Price (marketing director of Carsonified), who offered a free admission to this year hottest design event — Future of Web Design, New York 2007. For those who don’t know about the FOWD event, it is a design event and workshop organized by Carsonified. They also organize many other events, visit their website for more details. After several weeks of hard work, I finally completed rebuilding one of my projects, Best Web Gallery. Note, it is a rebuild, not redesign. I literally went to every single site in the gallery and re-captured the screenshots. Now Best Web Gallery is powered by the latest release of WordPress 2.3. Beside of the WordPress upgrade, I also added many new features such as image tooltip, different display modes (thumbnails, full image, and detailed mode), open external link options, and tag cloud. Lately, I have been focusing on Web Designer Wall and haven’t updated this site for a long time. It is about time to give you guys some updates here. I’m currently working on a new project for Next2Friends, as a lead web and interface designer. Next2Friends is a social networking and video sharing site with some cool features. I can’t give you too much secret yet as we are still working on the beta version (coming in this December). As most of you already know that I’m launching a new site and thank you for being supportive checking on my blog every day. Finally, the site is done and I’m very proud to announce the launch. The new site is called Web Designer Wall. It is my new blog on design related stuffs such as design trends, CSS, Photoshop tutorials, technology, etc. Some of you might ask: "Why do you another site? What about N.Design Studio?" Well, the difference is I want to make Web Designer Wall a multi-author blog and I will keep N.Design as my portfolio site. The existing content on this site will not be changed. I will still provide WordPress themes, Illustrator tutorials, icons, and freebies. Check out my new site and let me know your thoughts.

It has been a while since the last time I touched this site. I thought I should write something here to tell you that I’m still alive. In fact, I have been very busy working on a new site. It is going to be another WordPress powered site. Of course, the content will be design related - CSS, design tutorials, WordPress, web trends & technology, etc. I can’t tell you too much secrets since it is not officially launched yet. So, what is the next web trend after the Web 2.0 trend? Steal. I’ve been noticing this trend for a while and in fact it is rising. Rippers now on the Internet steal anything from text content, graphics, icons, design templates, to coding scripts. Almost every other week, I get an email from visitors telling me who stole my work. By the way, thanks for reporting copyright violations to me. This becoming an issue and I really want to bring it up. I have setup a Flickr gallery to showcase the ripped work.
