It has been a while since my last blog post. As usual, I’ve been very busy with my work and life. Lately, I have been receiving a lot of emails about the "c2c_get_recent_posts()" undefined function in my GlossyBlue advanced version. The reason you are receiving this error because you forgot to install the plugin or you haven’t activated it yet. I apologize for the lack of installation guide. To prevent this error happening, I have integrated the Simple Recent Comments by G-Loaded. This means there will be no more plugin installation required. So, I’ve decided to release a new standard version 1.3. If you are using GlossyBlue theme, I strongly recommend to download the updated version. I have fixed some PHP and CSS bugs. Also, it has been tested under WordPress 2.1 (view demo).
Big thanks to those who had sent me comments, feedbacks, and suggestions to improve this theme.

I’m very excited to find out that my famous artwork Phoenix appeared in the recent issue of Computer Arts magazine, issue #131. The artwork was featured in the front cover article, "Future Trends - Illustration". Check out my recognition page to see more.

I was contacted by Darlene Lowe, who is an Art Director at MacLaren McCann and also my former college classmate. She asked me to vectorize an illustration for one of their projects, POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario). POGO was founded in 1983 by a group of pediatric oncologists to champion childhood cancer care and control. Each year POGO hosts a gala event to raise the bulk of their funding for cancer research and aid for the children with cancer and their families. This year theme is Hollywood (glamorous, celebraties, red carpet, etc.) So they provided a concept sketch that they needed to digitalize. Instead of just vectorizing the sketch, I suggested to add some colorful Photoshop effects to go with the glamorous theme. Here is the final illustration. Read on…

As a big fan of WordPress, I’m very excited to hear the new release of WordPress 2.1 Ella. Although I haven’t upgraded yet, but it seems like they’ve added a lot of new features and fixed a lot of bugs. One of my favorite new features is now you can set the Pages to be drafts, or private. The new Page option is extremely useful for people who use WordPress as a CMS tool because it allows you to preview the page before publishing it. Now you can backup a Page by turning it to private rather deleting it. Another great feature is now you can set any Page to be your front page, and put the latest posts somewhere else. Version 2.1 also incorporated more AJAX which makes your site maintenance more faster and fascinating. I will definitely upgrade to 2.1 and post more thoughts soon. Download the latest version of WordPress at http://wordpress.org/download. If you have upgraded already, please share your thoughts here.

After a long day, I have finally migrated all my sites to Media Temple virtual dedicated server. N.Design Studio was transfered smoothly, however, Best Web Gallery was down for about a day due to some server issues. The issues have been resolved now and they should running fine and fast. If you have found any bugs or broken links, please let me know. Thanks.
