New Illustration for POGO
January 28th, 2007 Filed in: Design, News & Updates Jump to commentsI was contacted by Darlene Lowe, who is an Art Director at MacLaren McCann and also my former college classmate. She asked me to vectorize an illustration for one of their projects, POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario). POGO was founded in 1983 by a group of pediatric oncologists to champion childhood cancer care and control. Each year POGO hosts a gala event to raise the bulk of their funding for cancer research and aid for the children with cancer and their families. This year theme is Hollywood (glamorous, celebraties, red carpet, etc.) So they provided a concept sketch that they needed to digitalize. Instead of just vectorizing the sketch, I suggested to add some colorful Photoshop effects to go with the glamorous theme. Here is the final illustration.
