New Project: Themify

Aug 18, 2010 16 Comments

After couple months of hard work, my partner Darcy Clarke and I finally launched a new project called Themify. We offer WordPress themes bundled with a framework and a bunch of widgets to help WordPress users to customize their web site faster and with ease. With the framework, you can apply theme settings and CSS styling without having to know any coding skills. Check out the Product Tour for more details about our themes. Suggestions and comments about the project are welcome in this post.

Hi There, Very neat concept! Great idea. And the website looks cool.

I feel I should mention, though, that there seems to be a disconnect between the technical wording and your possibly target market.

For example: One might not know what “CSS Styling” and “Widgets” means. The explanations seam to suggest that the reader understands what these things mean. “Dynamic content” even seams like a lofty technical term to someone who’s not a web designer or wordpress guru.

Just my 2 cents. Hope it’s worth that. :)

Hello, I just wanted to say that I love your work and style. I actually picked the koi theme for my blog and decided to look up the creator. And you do have some amazing great talent. I’m a fan of Photoshop and illustrator also and I study Graphic Design. Someday I hope to find my style just as original and wonderful as yours.
    Take care~ ^^

    Hi Nick!
Thanks so much for the inspiring talk you gave at Frontend2010 in Oslo yesterday. By going through the little details that makes the whole design complete, was a real eye-opener to me. I’ve heard that “design IS the details” but I have never actually seen that explained in practice. I hope you have a safe trip back to Toronto.
