First WordPress Theme

Filed in: News & Updates Jump to comments

glossyblue.gif After a long wait, my first WordPress theme, GlossyBlue is finally released! It is a glossy hi-tech theme with some of my Web 2 Mini icons. Check it out if you are looking for a WordPress theme for your blog. This is my first WP theme, so let me know if you find any bug, although I have tested on most major browsers (Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera) on both PC and Mac.

Any questions, comments, or suggestions regarding this theme, please use the comment form below to post your message.

[…] Très “web 2.0″ ce thème GlossyBlue. D’après leurs créateurs il est “glossy”, dans le style du mac et parfait pour des blogs technologiques ou orientés Web 2.0. Widget ready. […]

Just curious… how do you use a customized photoshop file in this theme?

Seems a little complex; is it actually easier than it appears?

    Thanks!

    Hi Nick,

Thank you so much for this great theme! It’s fantastic.

I just noticed one bug, which has been really easy to fix:

The feed url was incorrect. So all I did was edited footer.php and removed the two feed: bits of code from that file.

I’m sure that’s a real n00b type thing though =) But anyway, it might help someone.

    Cheers,
    David

Nick, fantastic site and theme. You’re doing some really inspiring things with CSS and wordpress. Glossy Blue has been a great learning tool for me as I have experimented with it.

If you have a minute, I have a question, too. I’ve added a specific set of ids to the stylesheet for a page element I had created. After making the additions, the type across the theme gets a little wonky in firefox. Everything seems to render correctly in most other browsers. Any ideas? Are there some wierd inheritance things going on?

Beautiful theme! I’m only beginning to play with it now but it seems I can’t get the Archives page to work. I click on it and it lists only a hyperlink to the uncategorized category. If I click that, it complains that nothing can be found. I’m puzzled…
