iTheme IE Bugs Fixed
April 25th, 2007 Filed in: News & Updates Jump to comments
Most of you should probably notice there are some Internet Explorer 6 bugs (CSS rendering issues) in my iTheme. I finally fixed those IE6 bugs by re-designing the theme and CSS styles. Instead of displaying the file icon of each post, it is now displaying the date in a calendar icon, which is very similar to GlossyBlue theme. Also the comment list is now using gray background color instead of color stroke. Download the updated iTheme or preview WordPress Demo.
Upcoming Features
Here are some of the cool features that I want to add to the future release of iTheme:
- CSS style switcher
- Ajax live search
- Ajax comments
- Mac style CSS dock menu
- Any suggestions?

One more thing; the “recent posts” widget appears to malfunction when several plugins are installed, i.e. “Jerome’s Search” and “WP-Email”. Not sure if this is because of iTheme, but it hasn’t happened on other themes I’ve tried.

Hi Nick, I’ve got a suggestion.
How about offering a 3-column option for the next release? Especially with a search-engine friendly layout that goes:
main–>sidebar1–>sidebar2
as opposed to MangoOrange’s i3theme which looks like:
sidebar1–>main–>sidebar2
Also, without wishing to besmirch MangoOrange’s hard work, there’re a bug in i3theme that breaks the “prev/next entry” navigation.
Thanks for listening!

Glatzo: Try to use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/vipers-video-quicktags/ for quick and easy managment of youtube and other video services to be embedded into your blog. I use it for google video and its been flawless.

Hi! I am using your iTheme. Very nice one btw!
I am having problems with it when embedding youtube videos. Have a look: http://www.glatzopatzo.de/2007/04/28/huehnchen-am-samstag/
As editor I use chenpress and I copied the embedding code withour any changes into the source code. Have a look at the source code of the entry. I can’t tell you why it doesnt work. In the other theme I used tp use (goldengrey) it is displayed correctly.

My new site is up and running, using iTheme (MangoOrange’s columnized version i3Theme). Also added “Recent Posts” & “Recent Comments” to the sidebar (not using widgets; inspired by Nick’s GlossyBlue).

I have removed the navigation bar, so you are able to see the BUG here: http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q250/vreesh/internet/Bild1-5.png

I was wondering how (and if) it would be possible to add user pictures by comments (so they link possibly with their wordpress.com pictures or whatever)

Hi Nick!
I’m using your iTheme, and I recently discovered that when I’m using Wordpress stats (that adds a smiley face to your template), it displaces the background image, and so showing only the background color. I can also notice a little something between the top of the main content and the top of the sidebar.
This happens in Firefox 2.0.0.3, Internet Explorer 7 and Opera. The only difference is that in IE the background image shows, and in Opera, you can actually see the smiley between the two columns.
Hope you can help me to figure this out, because I’m clueless!
Thanks a lot!!
by the way… great design! ;)
