Upgraded to WordPress 2.2

Filed in: News & Updates Jump to comments

Numbers of people have asked if iTheme compatible with the latest release WordPress 2.2. The answer is yes. I have tested iTheme with WordPress 2.2 on Internet Explorer, FireFox, Safari, and Opera. I also upgraded my site and the WordPress Demo to version 2.2. Fortunately, all my WordPress themes are working. I received one email regarding the iTheme sidebar does not display properly with WordPress 2.2. It could be Javascript conflicts between the drag & drop Javascript and your Javascript. Double check your Javascript codes. Also, some WordPress plugins insert Javascript into your theme that might cause conflicts.

Is itheme compatible with wordpress 2.3?

I really want to upgrade to get the tagging feature and everything. Please help. Are you planning an upgraded version for 2.3?

@James - Yes, it happened when you are uploading the CSS file and accessing the website at the same time because during the file transfer, WordPress can not find the CSS file and it will automatically switch back to the default theme.

Hi, I’ve got Wordpress 2.3.1 running on my blog and iTheme. For some reason the theme switches back to “default”, on it’s own, randomly when working within the site. It’s very strange.

I’m using itheme on wordpress 2.2.2 but I can’t get different blogroll categories to go into different sidebar boxes. They all end up in “links”. How can I get around this?

No response so you must be busy. I’ve had to turn off the draggable boxes in iTheme to get my widgets working properly again.

Whilst I’ve lost the capability to drag and drop, minimise etc the widget windows, the fact that I can put javascript etc back into my widgets makes up for it.

    Thanks,
    Shane.

Hi I’m having a problem with javascript conflicts in the sidebar that’s screwing up the layout. I’m really new to this so is there any tips you can point me to verifying why there’s a problem and how I can get around it? I really love your theme and would hate to change themes because of this. Thank you

    Hi,

I’m having issues with the sidebar widgets under Wordpress 2.2.1, that did not occur when running Wordpress 2.2

When I put more than 6 (to test try 8 or 9) sidebar widgets (mainly Text Widgets with HTML) on my site, the bottom ones don’t draw correctly and some even display below the main page rather than to the right.

I have loaded the default (unmodified) iTheme onto my site to test if any of my mods caused it, and the same issue occurs.

I have also gone through each and every plugin and disabled them with no success in resolution.

Can you test this and let me know if you experience this, or if it is just me.

    Thanks,
    Shane.
