GlossyBlue is Now Widget Support
January 22nd, 2007 Filed in: WordPress, News & Updates Jump to commentsAfter some long hours of learning how to widgetizing my GlossyBlue theme, it is finally released! If you previously downloaded and using my GlossyBlue theme, please update your files to newer version. It is now supporting WordPress Widgets. This means you can update and customize your sidebar without any programming knowledge. This is my first widget support WordPress theme. If you find any bug, please contact me. Also, I have setup a demo WordPress site so you can preview my themes before downloading them. Have fun!

One question; are widgets supported on BOTH the GlossyBlue and GlossyBlue Advanced themes?

Hey, just posting to give you good news. I have successfully updated WordPress to 2.0 Ella.
More good news; I have downloaded the new version of GlossyBlue Advanced and everything works completely fine. No problems whatsoever.

I’m learning to use this WP system. I came from html-style. And all is new for me. I’ll like to know if yuo can help me wiht an issue in mi home blog. In the sidebar the links…categories…and other titles turn it on BOLD. and the 4th post, turns it on on bold too. There is probably a conflict with one of the CSS rules. Could you provide a URL to your blog with GlossyBlue installed? I need to see the html source in order to find why.

The quick fix is to add “font-weight: normal” to sidebar links. Example:
#sidebar a, #sidebar a:visited{
color: #495233;
text-decoration: none;
font-weight: normal;
}

I have 2 problems :) ehhe
1. i had a page where i only activated the comments and named it “Guestbook” (Gestabók) and now after changing themes the comments are missing ?
2. i was running K2 and i had the extented archive running. now this page is showing blank ? any idea or is it just not compatible to this theme ?

gisli haukur: The reason the comments don’t show on your Guestbook page is because the ’static’ Pages don’t support comments. You can easily add this by editing page.php

Just wanted to thenk you for your wordpress glossyblue theme.
Here is another application of this fantastic theme, off course maintaining the XHTM and CSS vlidity (which for me is very important).
By the way….In my logo (which is called by the stylesheet.css) I cant put a link (cause it comes from the css) If I try to insert it in header.php it transforms the page in ‘non XHTML valid.
How did you arrange it here in your website with the logo (top right of the background image) ?
